Jetlog Developer Terms

Last updated: October 9, 2026

1. What these terms cover

Jetlog is a product of Deskpage, based in the Netherlands and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 17210130 ("Jetlog", "we", "us"). These terms apply when you register an app in the Jetlog developer console or use the Jetlog partner API. By registering an app you agree to them. They apply next to the Jetlog Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. "You" is the person or company that registers the app. "Pilot" is a Jetlog user who connects your app to their logbook.

2. Registration and review

You register with your own Jetlog account and you are responsible for everything done with it. You publish a metadata document on a domain you control, and the information in it must be accurate and stay accurate. Jetlog reviews every app before pilots can connect it. We may refuse an app, ask for changes, or review it again later, and we do not have to give a reason.

3. Access is the pilot's choice

Your app only gets access to a logbook when the pilot approves it, and only at the level the pilot chose. A pilot can disconnect your app at any time. When that happens you stop using the access immediately. Whole-logbook access is only available to apps Jetlog has allowed to ask for it. Changes to anything your app did not create are proposals, and they only take effect when the pilot approves them in the Jetlog app.

4. What you may do with pilot data

You may use data you receive through the API only to provide the function the pilot connected your app for. You may not:

  • sell it, rent it out or share it with third parties, except with processors who work for you under the same obligations
  • use it for advertising or to build profiles of pilots
  • use it to train machine learning models
  • combine it with data from other sources to identify or assess a pilot, for example for an employer or an authority, unless the pilot asked your app to do exactly that

A logbook contains personal data of other people, such as crew names. The same rules apply to that data.

5. Privacy and security

You are a separate controller for the personal data your app receives, and you comply with the GDPR and other laws that apply to you. You publish a privacy policy that tells pilots what you do with their data. You store access and refresh tokens securely, never share them, and never ask a pilot for their Jetlog sign-in details. When a pilot disconnects your app or asks you to, you delete their data within 30 days unless the law requires you to keep it. If you discover a security incident that involves Jetlog data or tokens, you tell us at support@jetlog.app within 72 hours.

6. Acceptable use

You stay within the documented limits of the API and do not try to get around them. You do not:

  • access the API in any way other than the documented one
  • request more access than your app needs
  • send data you know to be wrong, or data the pilot did not ask you to send
  • test for vulnerabilities without our written permission
  • mislead pilots about who you are or what your app does

7. Your app and the Jetlog name

You may say that your app works with Jetlog. You may not suggest that Jetlog built, endorses or is responsible for your app, and you may not use the Jetlog name or logo as your own. Your app's name and description must not be confusing or misleading.

8. Changes, suspension and ending

We may change the API, its limits and these terms. For changes that break existing apps we give notice by email to the address of your Jetlog account where that is reasonably possible. We may suspend or remove an app, or revoke its tokens, immediately if it breaks these terms, harms pilots or puts the service at risk. You can stop at any time by withdrawing your app. Sections 4 and 5 keep applying to data you already received.

9. No warranty and no liability

The API and the developer console are free of charge and provided as they are. We do not promise that they are always available, free of errors, or that they will keep existing. We are not liable to you for any damage of any kind that results from the API, the developer console, these terms, or the suspension or ending of your access. The only exception is damage caused by our intent or deliberate recklessness, which the law does not allow us to exclude. You are responsible for your app and for what it does with a pilot's logbook. You indemnify us against claims from third parties that result from your app or from you breaking these terms.

10. The pilot's logbook stays the pilot's

Pilots own their logbook data. Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of it. You keep ownership of your app.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands.
