Terms of Service

Last updated: December 13, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Jetlog ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Jetlog is a digital pilot logbook application that allows users to record and track flight time, aircraft, crew members, and training sessions. The Service includes features such as:

  • Flight logging and tracking
  • Real-time flight status updates
  • Cross-device synchronization
  • Flight simulator training device (FSTD) session logging

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when using the Service
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Not use the Service to store or transmit malicious code

5. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Jetlog, including flight records, aircraft information, and crew details. We do not claim ownership of your logbook data.

6. EASA Compliance and Regulatory Acceptance

Jetlog is designed to meet EASA pilot logbook requirements. However, regulations vary by jurisdiction and may change over time. You are solely responsible for verifying that your logbook meets the specific requirements of your aviation authority.

We do not guarantee that Jetlog will be accepted by any particular aviation authority, employer, or regulatory body. The acceptance of digital logbooks is at the discretion of the relevant authority. We are not liable for any consequences arising from non-acceptance of your logbook records.

Flight status information is provided by third-party sources and may not always be accurate or up-to-date. Always verify critical flight information through official sources.

7. Data Protection and Backups

Your logbook data is protected by enterprise-grade infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Our database features automated daily backups with multi-day retention, point-in-time recovery capability, encryption at rest, and deletion protection. Our versioning system ensures your local data can be safely re-synchronized in the event of any disruption.

While we employ industry-standard measures to protect your data, we strongly recommend using the in-app backup feature to maintain your own local copies of your logbook. You are ultimately responsible for ensuring you have adequate backups of your important records.

8. Limitation of Liability

We use commercially reasonable efforts to provide a reliable service and protect your data. However, to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, regulatory penalties, or consequences arising from the non-acceptance of your logbook by any authority, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon requesting account deletion, your data will be permanently removed after a 30-day grace period. During this period, you can cancel the deletion request to restore your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
