Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sync my data across devices?

Syncing happens automatically and instantly. When you make a change on one device, it's pushed to the server and pulled by your other devices within seconds. Each record has a version number, so even if you edit the same flight on two devices, Jetlog knows which change is newer. Sign in with the same Apple ID on all your devices and you're good to go.

How do I track a flight in real-time?

When adding a flight entry, enter your flight number. Jetlog will automatically fetch real-time status updates from aviation data sources when available.

Can I export my logbook data?

Yes, you can export your complete logbook data from the app settings. This allows you to keep a backup or transfer your data to other systems.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion from the Settings menu in the app. Your account and all associated data will be scheduled for permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period. During this time, you can cancel the deletion request if you change your mind.

Is my data secure?

Yes, we take security seriously. Your data is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) with encryption at rest and in transit. We maintain automated daily backups with multi-day retention and point-in-time recovery capability. We use Apple Sign-In for authentication, which provides an additional layer of security. Our versioning system also ensures your data can be re-synchronized if needed.

Can I use Jetlog as my official pilot logbook?

Jetlog is designed to meet EASA pilot logbook requirements. Many pilots use Jetlog as their primary digital logbook. However, the acceptance of digital logbooks varies by aviation authority, so we recommend checking with your local regulator about their specific requirements for digital records.

Account Deletion

To delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account in the Jetlog app. Your account will be scheduled for deletion with a 30-day grace period, allowing you to cancel if needed. After the grace period, all your data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
